Vegetable Receiving

Year: 2024

Scope: Upgrade existing vegetable receiving line to gain unloading and washing capacity utilizing in house fabrication to save capital costs.

Challenges: Capital budget constraints pushed to creative engineering solutions which included utilizing existing equipment and plant maintenance teams strengths in fabrication of mechanical components such as conveyor belts, equipment supports and platforms.

Results: Peak completed a full receiving line re-design resulting in higher capacity for the client. Detailed conveyor design was completed with maintenance team acting as in house fabrication. Additional equipment vendors were managed by the project engineer. FEL-2 Budget was delivered to support different layouts and help client decide where the capital gets allocated to.
