Year: 2024
Scope: Supported the design of a new airway conveying system within a potato processing facility to improve product transfer efficiency and support expanded production requirements.
Challenges: Routing new conveying infrastructure through congested existing plant areas, coordinating structural supports and utility crossings within limited available space, maintaining proper conveying velocities while minimizing product damage and buildup.
Results: The project included development of a new conveying path, coordination with existing process equipment, and integration of supporting utilities and controls. An airway design was developed along with the vendor and integrated within the plant layout. FEL-2 Budget analysis was completed for equipment and installation costs.
