Year: 2023/25
Scope: Peak served as the technical process lead for the development and execution of a new greenfield potato processing facility, supporting the project from early concept development through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operational startup over a multi-year execution phase.
Challenges: Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering, construction teams, and contractors across multiple project phases. Supporting constructability and commissioning readiness while maintaining alignment with schedule and budget objectives. Addressing field changes, equipment integration challenges, and operational requirements during active construction.
Results: The project involved development of a fully integrated processing facility designed to support high-volume production operations while maintaining flexibility for future expansion and evolving operational requirements. The facility design incorporated raw product receiving and storage, washing and preparation systems, processing and packaging operations, utility infrastructure, and supporting plant systems required for full-scale production.
As the lead process engineering group, our team coordinated closely with the client, equipment vendors, construction teams, and multidisciplinary engineering groups to guide the facility from initial planning into full operational reality. Peak supported successful coordination between engineering, vendors, contractors, and plant operations teams as well as helped position the facility for reliable long-term production performance and future expansion opportunities.
