Field Engineering and Construction Management Support

Year: 2023

Scope: Our team was engaged during the active construction phase of a large plant expansion project to provide field engineering and construction management services focused on recovering schedule performance and advancing the project toward commissioning readiness.

Challenges: The project experienced construction delays, coordination challenges, and execution inefficiencies impacting critical milestone dates. Multiple unresolved field interferences and incomplete installations impacted productivity. Construction priorities required rapid  reassessment to support commissioning objectives.

Results: Peak team successfully identified the schedule gaps and re-prioritized critical path milestones to recover the schedule. Installation scope gaps were identified and addressed through on site support from the lead engineer, eliminating communication gaps. Project stakeholder and field team communication was re-established through a clear and defined agenda focusing on daily work completed vs planned.

Engineering scope included:

  • Field Design Clarifications
  • Coordination between trades
  • Deficiency tracking
  • Construction sequence and Schedule Review
  • Construction to Commissioning transition
  • FAT's
  • Dry Commissioning
