Downtime Capital Support

Year: 2025

Scope: Acting as owner Project Engineer to support various capital maintenance and engineering projects during plant summer downtime. 

Challenges: Shutdown window offered extremely limited duration with zero allowance for schedule overruns.  Multiple contractors working simultaneously within congested production areas. Late stage interferences requiring real time design adjustments during construction. 

Results:  During a scheduled annual plant shutdown, our team provided multidisciplinary engineering support for a series of equipment, process and utility upgrades within a food manufacturing facility. The work included field verification, equipment replacement coordination, and contractor support throughout the outage window.  The project required detailed planning and close coordination with operations, maintenance, contractors, and vendors to ensure all activities could be completed safely and within the limited downtime schedule.
